John Isner vs Gilles Simon match preview

After defeating Matthew Ebden 6-4, 7-5, John Isner advances to the quarterfinals of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, where he is going to play with Gilles Simon (ATP rankings #13). Simon is a talented tennis player, who plays well on various surfaces and moves fast over the court. He deserves to be called a top-15 player, because he was there many times, besides he used to be #6 in 2009. Though Simon's tennis is not very stable, he is able to win any player and create a competition for Isner and other high-ranked players.
Each of the players played 3 times in Indian Wells. The best Simon's result at this tournament was the third round, Isner was able to advance a little further - to the round of 16.
John Isner and Gilles Simon met once last year at the US Open, where John won in 4 sets. The current match will be also held on hard surface and also in the USA. Simon's performance seems to be on the same level as it was in 2011, while Isner has reached new heights. Though it's hard to predict a full scenario for this match, we think John should win and get to the semifinals.

Pick: John Isner to win
