John Isner vs Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Davis Cup match preview

The next John's rival in the quarterfinal of Davis Cup is Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (ATP ranking #6), who defeated Ryan Harrison from the American team yesterday. That's why Isner should beat Tsonga by all means, because this match is the most important in the USA-France duel. Americans will probably advance to the semifinal of Davis Cup 2012 if Isner defeats Tsonga.
Tsonga is a fast court player, and the faster surface is, the better he plays. Clay is not his strong point, and even though he might show quite good results on it, his play on clay surface is not stable.
In the previous match with Simon John Isner showed he is in a great from - he moves fast, serves well and makes impressive shots, including returns of his rival's serve.
Isner and Tsonga have met twice, each player won one match. They played on hard and indoors and it took 3 sets to win in both matches.
Taking in consideration that John Isner has started to improve his tennis on clay court and his victory over Tsonga is very important for the US team, we think he will make every effort to win this match.
